Why This Book Was Written

I knew God had called me, but I had not yet fully learned how to follow Him. I discovered that believing in God and yielding to Him are not the same. I learned that love for God and intimacy with God are not the same. True intimacy requires obedience.

In my eagerness to fulfill what I believed God had called me to do, I moved ahead of His timing. What I thought was faith was often impatience. What I thought was alignment sometimes contained mixture. God was not rejecting me, but He was refining me. He was teaching me that before He entrusts us with an assignment, He first transforms the vessel that carries it.

Through a journey of repentance, encounter, surrender, identity, and transformation, God brought my life back into alignment with Him. What began as a personal process of refinement became the message found within these pages.
